Wow, 429hp! Congrats! When it comes to reliability, however, Lexus tops everything by a huge margin:

Oh, Lexus has some reliable Models, However the GS 3rd Generation is not one of them. I have had more recalls on my 3rd Generation GS that all of the cars I've owned put together. Combine this with the Multiple Brake TSB's (I think at least 3), and I would have still loved the car.

What pushed me over the edge was the creaks and rattles. My Dash was taken apart by the dealer 4 times and they still could not fix it. Just do a search on rattles and read away. My dealer probably thinks they fixed it. Mostly because I got tired of complaining.

My 2011 Genesis has been as Flawless as my 2nd Generation GS.

Just don't attribute Lexus reliability to the 3rd Generation GS. You're not fooling anyone here.

Recalls have nothing to do with reliability. Recalls by manufacturers help prevent lawsuits. My car had none of the problems the recalls fixed, I asked. They did them because they could. It's preventative treatment. You may never have ever got the problem but now you almost definitely won't.

I've never had any brake TSB's done on my car. I did have the valve spring recall done.

In regards to the creaks and rattles, yes that shouldn't be happening in a luxury car like this. However, if that was your main complaint, all you had to do was stuff felt in between the windshield and dash. It's really an extremely quick and easy fix.

Anyhow, you gotta do what makes you happy. Enjoy the new ride.

Its a nice car, I personally wouldnt get one but it is pretty nice should have waited for the new genesis it looks really nice. The creaks are an issue but on 3GS I have yet to have a creak in my 4GS.

I actually like the rspec and the power they produce. Unsure if I'd sell my 3GS for one though. Good luck with your future endeavors with Hyundai.
