Has anyone else any experience with 2nd Navigation Updates or did you choose to buy the new one?

Thanks for your time.

I upgraded my 2008 about 2 months ago. Very simple but no visual or audio enhancements. My dealer does a sale on the out going versions in the spring/early summer for 150. I would only get it if you need updated streets or POI because nothing has changed besides that.

I have a 2010 GS 350 and received the email ad from Lexus for a sale on NAV updates. I still have the original software from 2009. Will the advertised update include all of the material from the intervening years or will I have to buy something else?

I just picked up the new 14.1 version at my dealership. The version I had was way, WAY, outdated... from 2006. Anyway, I was told it's uses the same Maps from 2013, but this 14.1 version has more Points of Interest. Payed $99 plus tax!!

I bought mine at Lexus of Marin. The map looks crispier and the "I agree" screen is no longer. When the car is turned on, the Navi reads "Keep your eyes on the road, etc", but it goes away after 5 seconds. To install: All you do is eject the old DVD and insert the new one. (Just like a car stereo).

I have a 2010 GX 460. Does anyone know whether the nav system has maps available for Mexico? Or even if there are Lexus dealers in Mexico?

Hello all.
So yes the DVD map is down to $100.00
I went to my dealership in Pembroe Pines and they said it was a charge of $69 because they had to program it.
Does that make sense? It seems everyone here just put the new disc in. I have a 08 GS350. Did they really just try to rip me off?

why spend $$$ for a map update on a yearly basis when you have your smart phone?

I personally love interacting with my Lex. You don't necessarily have to update it every year.
My map is from 10. Think its time for an update. Plus with the current price drop i figured why not.
Why bother having a car with navigation if you cant use it?
