Default Transmission Problems 08 GS

Hi guys, I have 08 GS350 that has been doing some big time hesitating at low speeds. Brought to dealer and the mentioned water got into the transmissions and want me to pay for a flush.(I think they should, since it's under warranty) Has anyone else had this problem? Can damage done now cause issues in the future? Thank you in advance. Any comments would be appreciated. After 5 Lexus thinking of making a switch next time around.

What do they mean by "water got into the transmission"? Isnt the the transmission is a "sealed" unit?
Unless you drove your car into a pond, I would make sure they figure out how the water got in and fix it accordingly. All under warranty of course!

Water in the tranny? What the F? Never heard of this. Did they convince you to change your headlight fluid while you were there

I'm sorry, "moisture" got into transmission. It is a sealed unit. I'm concerned about future damage. They want me to pay almost 200 for the flush. Very disappointed with Lexus the last few yrs.

200 is cheap. Ask them how they flush it.

Ask them how the F "moisture" got in there if it is a sealed unit. Btw, $200 for a trainny flush is pretty cheap. I am having my IS350's tranny flush by the dealer here in CA and it would be $325 plus 9.5% sale tax. Basically they are charging 2 hours to hook the machine and use Techstream (spelling?) to flush the entire system plus cost of tranny fluid.

Idc if it's 200 or 300. Maybe they are just doing drain and fill. Idk. Wonder how long this tranny is going to last. So I take it no one has had this happen or heard of it before?

You need to convince to figure out why the moisture is in there first. I believe "drain&fill" will only exchange approximately 2 out 8 Litters of ATF? Need a complete flush!

Correct. Ask the if they are actually flushing it. Also ask them how moisture got in and exactly they diagnosed this.

Maybe they are doing a flush. Idk. But the whole thing doesn't sound right to me. Tranny problems I don't like!

Move up the chain of command; all the way to Corporate. Make sure you document everything. I never heard of anything like this. Your car is still under warranty; make sure they fix it right cause a tranny job isn't cheap.

If water is getting in there then fluid is getting out plain and simple, so there is a hole, so it is broken. The other option is that someone who worked on your car simply put water in there (hearing of watered down ATF would be a first time for me), might sound ridiculous, but no more than being given the explanation that there is water in there.
