Extended Warranty
Hello All,
This is my first post on the forum and would like to thank all of you for all of the information provided. Although me name is Chevrolet because i love my old chevy (1996 Chevrolet Caprice w/ a 5.7) i must say i am very content with my 2008 GS350.
Im a bit concerned with my car as how it now has 75K miles and the extended warranty will be up in about 25k miles or two years (which ever comes first). I plan to keep my car till the wheels fall off as it has gone through war with me for the past 30K miles without a hiccup. What can i do to maintain an extended warranty on the car so it stays protected in case of any malfunction.

Welcome to CL! I see you're in FL.... If you're seeking and extended extended warranty, it can only be done at the beginning of the purchase from my experience at Lexus of Orlando.
I had a going back and forth with the service advisor about 1 month before my warranty was out. He went around asking and asking and told me the only way I could have had a longer extension was if I had bought it at the day of purchase on the vehicle (or that grace period).
Either way these cars do pretty well and you shouldn't have any hiccups.
Remember, ~90k miles, transmission fluid, every ~30k (I assume you haven't done this) rear differential fluid, every ~2.5k-5k-10k (depending on your oil type) oil changes, everyone ~5k (tire rotations). Keep an eye on whether or not your tires are going bald in an odd way (this tells you if the suspension is going to be shot soon, since mine's went shot @ ~50-60k mi).
You'll probably need to change timing chain @ around ~120k miles...... Since you're at 75k miles now, you should check some of the threads on here for the water pump failure diagnosis, along with the recall claims that need to be done. GL!
