I bought my 06 GS300 with the Mark Levinson Cd player not working. I have attempted all the possible fixes but it still does not budge. When it was opened it seemed that moisture got into it at some time. Its behavior is somewhat consistent with no power going to it but all fuses relating to the system are good and the wires are properly connected...it does not accept or eject CDs. Everything else work; navigation, radio, tape but not the CD/DVD. I am wondering if I purchase a used one will there be any problem with codes or VIN lock? or is it just plug and play integration with the rest of the unit?
First check the connections in the back. If that doesnt work open up the radio, lightly clean the terminals with electrical cleaner and a q tip. Put it back in and see, if that doesnt work you can take it to a stereo repair shop most charge from $100-$350 for repairs.

Bought a used unit for $317 which included shipping from LKQ Ebay store . Installed it and it is working fine. I did find out that there are no codes. I have the old unit in case anyone needs it you can give me a shout. You will have to pay for shipping.
