Default 2006 GS300 Swap Choices

I tried doing some research about swap choices for a my GS300 and have no luck, I know the 2006 GS300 is a in-between year and was curious about doing a 2005 Aristo TT swap or a 2007 GS350 swap but havent found any information on either swap. How similar are the 05 and the 07 to the 06 as in ecu plugs, driveshaft, engine mounts etc. thanks in advance

By Aristo do you mean 2jz supra motor?

If so its been done to an IS250 in Miami, IS and GS share pretty much same setup

from what i have heard, its easier to do the swap in a is250 and is300 because those models are so basic. from what i have heard

It's an EXTREME amount of work. Unless you have a huge amount of money and can have the car down for a while.

Older IS's IS300 yes, but not a IS250/IS350 those are newer and share the same engine as the GS.

Honestly, just buying a GS350 would be much cheaper.

The ISF engine would be a neat swap.
I believe it would bolt up to the 8 speed transmission in the GS460, but only because the ISF has an 8 speed as well.

i dont see how buying a gs350 would be cheaper if i already have a gs300

never mind, answered my own question. from what i was reading the 05 is a inline 6 and the 06 is a v6. Part match for a 06 gs300 and 07 GS350 motor mounts. i guess ill have to do a lot more research...

Why do you want to swap engines for? Is it because your engine has carbon issues, because lexus is offering extended warranty on that and will rebuild you the engine for free, no matter mileage.

If its lack of power, sell it and buy an ISF im sure it would be a lot cheaper and would put you in the same ball park if you were to add an 2jz motor swap. Because in any swap you do, its difficult to put a price on parts when you dont know what exactly you need. So youll end up throwing money at it, trying to figure out the bugs in the swap.

Sell GS300... buy GS350.

Difference in price will be < swap and all that goes into it.

cold start i get valve noise, needs new cats (smell after flooring it) shift solenoid CEL (dealer says to replace tranny) consumes oil more than normal.

its not a lack of power issue at all, i just feel a updated motor swap without all the bugs would be better than just throwing money into the current drive train for the same problems to happen. I understand what i am getting into as far as the motor swaps. thats why i was trying to some research instead of purchasing the motor and realize it wont work but seems there isnt enough information out there
