Contrary to popular belief, they're technically wrong. You do need a flush at 100k, but people here have taken their flush down to 90k or below, and the oil was pitch black.

Either way, the reason why they tell you that is because when they say "life of the car" they actually mean "the life of one ownership".

Transmission flushes aren't easy to do as these transmissions are sealed (so that we do not play with'em ourselves) and you need to take to dealer or professional to have the fluids changed out with a special machine.

If you'd like, PM me your # and I can TRY to have a service advisor contact u from here in Orlando to verify.

In yesterday's mail I received service special coupons from my dealer (for my '07 GS350) which, in addition to specials on drive belts, brake service, and 4 wheel alignment and balance, included Transmission service - fluid up to 8 qts.; inspect for leaks; flush w/state of the art flushing machine; inspect for proper shifting points; test drive - $199.
I just reached 52k miles and don't feel it's time for this procedure, although I'm tempted.
Bottom line - dealers do offer this service.

yep, the 350, the 06' 300 (2GR) and the 460 all have timing chains, my car has timing belt, which isn't an unfortunate thing either, as I'm at 90-95k miles and only ONE CEL (gas cap) during it's lifetime.

Thank you Bavaria, that sounds like a killer deal! I'll make sure I check it out and see what's up on that

I'd probably try to do everything cept brake service there (outside of brake fluid flush of course). I like the sound of testing for proper shifting points, my car's been more than immaculate to me and I want it to keep it that way .

Your message is more than appreciated! I'd jump for the service if I was at 50k, early preventative service is better than no service haha.

So I just picked up the car today.... Everything was within spec/checked.

Bill total was $975 for the following:

-Tire Rotation
-Transmission Flush
-Water pump replacement
-Timing Belt change
-Tensioner replacement on the timing belt
-Rear Diff flush
-Brake Fluid Flush

Spark plugs, Oil change, Air filter and A/C filter change were not needed as I changed them within the last 1000-2000 miles of that service.

One complaint was that during their tire rotation one of my wheels got a flat. I am gonna further investigate tomorrow and see what happens. The service advisor (who is awesome, i'm not gonna lie) kinda drove on it and now there is a SLIGHT bubble on the sidewall...... I'm gonna try and see if a tech there had run over a nail prior to the tire rotation or something, because I just had that wheel resurfaced at the contact points to the tire since I was leaking air through there.

GoKoU I would do a brake fluid flush too if you haven't done it. That's a great price for the dealer doing it.. normally would run 12 to 1400..sorry about your tire.
