Default What we do on "hobby day"

So one saturday a month, we go to our buddy's place to do "hobby day" where we do random day projects on our cars. Here's What I've been doing on my car.

First, an Auto Zone intake... lol.. I know the selections for intakes on my GS300 is limited. So i was just like, ****** it, I'll make my own. haha!!

It actually looks decent if you ask me... and it sounds AWESOME... No check engine light too... *knock on wood...

There's my buddy's dog keeping an eye on my car...

Then time to bust out the Plasti-Dip. I did my front grill black and the rear emblems black. IMO, It came out really nice!!! I also changed my DRL's to yellow. Saw them on an S2000 and i was like, i gotta do that...

This is pretty much the Thread i'll be posting what i've been doing to my car... think of it as my "build thread" lol!!!

Great job on all the work you did looks very good not cheesy at all. How does the car sound just with the cone filter? I Jane been thinking about doing this as well. Or post a video, I'm curious.

You should not get a CEL as you did everything before any sensors. Hopefully you won't get any heat soak off of the engine and exhaust manifolds through the cone filter. The black emblems look really good.

sounds good! Out of curiosity, why did you not remove the extra plumbing for the intake?

I didn't take any piping off... i just took the airbox cover where the MAF sensor is hooked up to and replaced that with the Autozone universal MAF pipe.

Would not have done the intake, but the black emblems are absolutely beautiful.

Come to think of it, I like the yellow high beam/drl.

How is it at night with the yellow high beams?

Lol!! Do the intake!! haha.. I wasnt really planning on doing the intake until i saw the universal MAF sensor pipe at auto zone. it just happen to work so i kept it.. lol...

the yellow high beams are pretty yellow at night... i did it because i RARELY use my high beams. i live in the city so most of the roads i drive on have street lights.

ohh no, I didn't mean, what did you do, I mean, why didn't you remove all the extra stuff? I know you didn't remove it

The reason I ask is because it cleans up the engine bay a little more, less clutter
