small collision today, but the impact felt greater. immediately thought the worse. The bumper cover will most likely need to be replaced and not sure if there will be any damage to the bumper guards/stops. the trunk seems to open and close like before, but the body shop will inspect that as well. I haven't really felt if the car drives the same as I only drove about 1/2 mile back to work. hopefully nothing steering related was damaged. pics to come.

It's happened twice to me. Although the ins. co. of each driver that hit me stated they would pay to have the bumper refinished, I took it to the collision shop used by my Lexus dealer (and my BMW dealer). The shop mgr. advised they have this debate all the time, and said i would be getting a new bumper cover at the very least. Fortunately no damage other than to the cover was found in either instance.
