Exhausting hitting sway bar
The exhaust pipe is hitting my sway bar. I zip tied a piece of steel wool to the bar to prevent it from banging and making noise. My question is would the steel wool ever catch fire from heat?
Sounds like you need to fix the problem first. Is this stock oem exhaust, custom, or aftermarket?
If it is custom, I would take it to the shop and have them adjust it. If its aftermarket you can probably do it yourself loosen up the pipes and use a rubber mallet to get a better fit.
There is a better option then steel wool, if you go to auto parts store like pep boys. A lot of times they sell header race wrapping to help cool headers. You can wrap that with radiator clamps.
