Default sway bar links help!

gettin my daizen sway bars put on my car ... shop told me i should replace the car with new front and rear sway bar links or car will prob make a ton of noise .. got a price of 3oo$ for all from sewell lexus>! expensive! do i really need to replace these? should just buy the tom 6 link for the back and any aftermarket options for the front? thanks guys

wat i really was askin .. is if the sway bar links must be replaced.. what are the good aftermarket choices .. front and rear! toms only sells rear correct ?

Sway bar link are not the same as the chassis links. In short there are no aftermarket higher performance sway bar links for our cars.

thats alot bro .. ok so 1 last question .. is it needed to change these sway bar links when installing after market sway bars?

The links only need to be changed if they're worn out. How many miles does your car have? Usually if there are no rips or tears in the link boots then you're fine.

No need to replace unless they're worn out. I've installed a few sets on GS with over 100k miles and the links have no play in it.

hey guys im in the process of doing my 91 ls4 sway bar and in the process of removing the links from the old bar i had a bit of grease squirt out..... is this going to trash the link or you guys think i should be fine?

How much came out?

You should be fine unless you're severely out of grease.

ummm, i wouldnt say alot but an ok ammt did, im assuming from research i could still drive it with grease missing and i might just run the risk of the link going bad and having to replace it correct?

haha ok good yea i did it and right as i clamped on the link and loosed it squirt... i was like Craappp. maybe ill just order 2 new rear links this weekend justt incase.

If you want, you can get some lithium grease (automotive section, made for cv joints and stuff) and squirt some back in.
