Default 06 Lexus AWD Tune up. HELP!

Hello all,
I just did the tune up on my 2006 Lexus GS 300 AWD. Well First of all I changed all 6 spark plugs. I did not put any oil on the spark plugs before putting the new ones in. Was that a bad idea? Also I had unplugged the battery and im guessing everything has to reset itself? I took the car for a test drive and it seems like the car was idling kind of hard and also it was jerking at first. Anyone have any feedback on this. Much appreciated. Thanks

You should never put oil on your spark plugs, you can put anti seize on the threads but not really necessary.

Rough idle at start up when you first disconnect the battery is normal.

Will it take a couple of drives for the rough idle to go away? Also when it accelerates it kinda seems likes its pushing.

I don't know just after I did the tune up today the car seems like something is wrong with it. My step dad said it takes awhile for the car to get used to the new spark plugs. I'm not sure if that's right or not.

Are you sure you seated all the plugs properly? Also did you use oem plugs? If you used another brand, that could give you issues.

Ya, I think that maybe your problem right there. I would take those out and run the factory plugs, I believe they are denso. Advanced auto should carry them, they didnt offer it to you?

Many cars are sensitive to spark plugs

Thanks I will look into getting those spark plugs. Do they sell them at auto zone or advance? That's where I get most of my parts

Ya I am sure they have it or they can get it, but most likely they will probably be priced like the dealer which is probably around $20 bucks a plug.

But I would tell them your case that they suggested a certain plug for you and your car is running like crap see if they can help you out any. Won't hurt to try!

You'll want the Denso FK40HBR11 Iridium. Goodluck and let us know what they say
