Anybody have an LSD on their 3GS
Have not ran across anything in this forum about any members having an LSD equipped car yet.

heh, 3GS? Only LSD-equipped models are the AWD..... I've been doing some comparisons and so far I believe the Supra's rear diff is swappable with our 3GS pumpkin.... Dont quote me on that as I haven't had the full unit in front of me. LSD is very attainable though, you can even use the Supra's complete rear differential I believe, all you MIGHT have to do is get a custom driveshaft made (if they are not compatible).

Tom's have LSD for the 3GS. In fact, I was contemplating about picking one up a couple of years ago, but decided there wasn't much gain in doing the mod.

I'm taking off my 2nd Gen diff that has a Supra Torsen LSD in it along with 4.27 gears. I'd love to drop it into the 3rd Gen diff. I doubt the entire differential or pumpkin is a direct swap for the 3rd Gen GS but maybe the LSD will fit. I'm going to email KAAZ USA and see if they can tell me.
Does anyone know what the stock gear ratio is for the 3rd Gen GS350? Specfically the '08?

I am not sure if this means anything, but the IS250/350 guys use the IS300 torsen lsd units in their cars.
I know the 3rd gen GS shares alot of parts with the 2nd gen IS.
So maybe it is possible that it will work on the 3rd gen GS as well?

So I confirmed that the 2nd Gen GS/SC pumpkin is NOT a direct bolt on for the 3rd Gen GS.
I'm going over to KAAZ today to see if I can drop my Torsen LSD into the existing diff. I may also do the 4.27 gear swap as well. From the little research I have done, I believe the 3rd Gen GS has a gear ratio of 3.76. I believe the IS350 has a gear ratio of 4.08. If you guys can confirm this for me it would be greatly appreciated.
There is a significant difference in low end torque with the lower gear ratio(4.27). The LSD is much harder to tell a difference unless you are tracking your car. If today's project doesn't work out, I'll most likely be searching for an IS350 pumpkin. Again, if you guys can source the data on all gear ratios by year for the 3rd Gen GS/IS it would be nice to have this.
