Driver side ballast removal on a 2007 Lexus Gs350
Hi everyone,
New to the fourms. I've been trying to search up and down videos or tutorials on how to change
a ballast on a 2007 Lexus Gs350(driver side). Seems like this is a pretty common problem. I
just purchased a ballast but have no idea how to change it. Does the bumper have to come off,
or is there a way around it. Any useful input is appericated.

Thanks, JSM1284. I'm going to have a friend work on it. I'll try to take some photos and post them up for future reference. It just would have been much easier if the bumper didn't need to be removed. Again, thanks for the reply!

Update:
I haven't had the chance to replace it yet been driving with only one light lol. I wanted to know for sure if it's the
xenon. The other day I took my car in to have the battery replaced and I asked them to take a look at it but not
to replace anything. The rep told me it could just be the bulp but I'm still doubting it. This is the situation, once
I turn the car on both lights work. Within a few minutes (1-2) the driver side bulp goes out. If I turn it off and on
that same second both lights again work until a few minutes later the driver side lights once again goes out.
on. In addition, there is no warning lights to show that I have a burn out bulp. What I'm asking here, is this
common symptom for a bad ballast?

Could be either bulb or ballast.
Here's a real simple test before spending any $ on parts:
Take a few minutes and swap bulbs side to side. If light that goes out follows move... it's the bulb. If it stays on driver side then it's the ballast. Hopefully it's the bulb...

Just replaced ballast
I know it’s an old threat but if anyone still looking I just replaced my ballast on my GS350, took about 2 hours total, I did not have to remove the bumper entirely, removed half of the screws holding it together and gave me enough play to remove the headlamp, once it was off, the only tricky part was removing the ballast connector that goes to the lightbulb, there is a very tight spot where it comes out from, there is a grey plastic in the way, move it to the side and the head comes right out. I attached a picture, hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.
