Default Front end noise ? Tire ?

Need your insight. It seems to be isolated to left front tire area. Took it to dealer last week. When they called back, stated can't reproduce sound and nothing found on wheel/susp/etc.. I went there, drove with tech, and sure enough sound was gone. It is now back, and recorded the sound. It's an intermittent, almost rubbing type noise. It is more pronounced in the middle of the recording starting at 27 seconds (when there is less wind noise).. Update: narrowed it down to tire. It appears to be flexing in the rubber almost like when you turn your wheel when parking in a smooth surface garage and the tires make a rubber noise. Is this improper mounting of the tire on the wheel ? (no recent work done) This is certainly annonying when driving on the street.

Did you figure out what the real root of the problem is? I have the exact same thing going on with my IS350.

I took the front wheels off and put stock wheels back on whenever I had a fender repainted. Put the wheels back on, and it's making this exact noise. Intermittent and sounds like it's rubbing but I can't figure out what. My car is lowered on coilovers, but it's not rubbing the fender liner from what I'm gathering. Before the fender was painted, I don't think they made this noise, but maybe I wasn't paying attention.

My front tires are a bit low (30PSI), but otherwise in really good condition with plenty of tread and no obvious camber wear. They're not crappy tires either, they're Yokohama Advan AD08s.

Appears to be the tire and due to uneven wear per Discount Tire. Rotated tire to back and still makes noise. It's a run flat with a lot of tread left so I'm going to live with the noise until time to replace all tires with non run flats. Had alignment done which did not reveal much out of spec. They are Dunlop 5000m. Not too impressed with these tires.

Replying to an old thread, but see this post about my experience with run flats for probable cause of OP's issue. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...l#post11816068
