Not to sound silly but, how tough would it be for a competent shop with a mandrel bender to make headers for ya? I've had headers made before. Not too big a deal.

these are the ones for the same engine on the 2nd Gen... this is all i could find. i dont think it would be a good idea to mod anything before your cats unless you have access to proper tuning software

Would guess not likely as the 460 was a new design rather than a bored/stroked 430.
Built at a time emissions were more focused on, so I'd be doubtful that they reused the old ones.
Have to agree with Austin above - to get the most out of these type of modifications, you really could do with having access to the ECU or have an intimate knowledge of how much timing the ECU can apply without running a lean AFR.

the ISF headers provide almost 30whp w/o any ECU tuning. I dont see why the 460 cant gain as much

Simply it won't, as the LS460 has a higher state of tune than the GS does, which if the GS's ECU can't swing the necessary timing advance, you'll not see any major gains, especially with an F-Sport or other air filter already installed.

An ISF is a completely different proposition to a GS when it comes to engineered design parameters, and that it was somewhat Lexus' answer to the BMW M3.
The GS460 is not the M5 equivalent, it's barely even a 550i equivalent, and more in line with an AMG - a grunty but relatively lazy engine in a big soft car.

I look forward to being proven completely wrong, but I think you're on a hiding to nothing with this idea, and the linked GB.

what does lexus claim a stock 460 1/4 mile is? 13.9.. what time did i achieve? 13.5... where did this .4 come from.. see my sig .. i have no doubt a pair of headers will shave another .2-.3
P.S: OUR 460s are detuned to 322hp.

Different oil, different tyres/pressure, basic engine variability, tail wind......all things which can affect the outcome.

I'm well aware the GS is detuned compared to the LS - I'm lead to believe it's ECU managed rather than pipework.
Has anyone looked at the LS's manifold/headers to see how they compare with the GS's?

By the way i contacted PPE Engineers about headers for the GS460 and if the GS430 headers will work on the GS460 and the below is their answer.

" We are looking into the GS460 application. We think that our ISF headers may fit, but have not tested them yet. I believe the flanges are different between the GS460 engine and the GS430 engine. We will hopefully have some headers for the GS460 by the end of the year."
