After stupidlly allowing my battery to run down today, the car's "VSC" and "Check Engine" lights came on. after i jump=started ed the battery from another car. Thanks to this great forum. i was able to fix the issue -- a member previously suggested that disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable to clear the false code. Problem solved! There is so much great information here!
