I would go for it even though it sounds like alot

 

Where in Ontario are you located? I got my rear bumper painted for $300 a couple of years ago when someone scraped my car and took off. If you're in the GTA there is no shortage of shops that will do it for you on the cheap. For the record, my paint job was decent enough.

 

hey energie, just my opinion, but the MAIN component I worry about when i visit paint shops, is I look at examples of the vehicles they've painted and I take notes of the products they use. I only go to shops that use PPG, BASF, or the likes in quality.... I'll never steer anywhere far from that. Only thing i'd accept outside of that is MAYBE, just MAYBE dupont base coat with PPG clear, nothing compares to it from what i've seen out there (maybe house of kolors? But i'm not into those candy coated colors).

From my personal experience, I visited a shop just before the last one, and they actually paint porsches, lamborghini, BMW's and Lexus for the dealerships. They claimed some never-heard-of name and claimed great results, A couple weeks after i took the car home, there were already chips that I've gotten on the car... Took the car to a shop that my uncle knows the manager at.... He painted my whole front lip and did chips here and there along with imperfections from front to back for $650, best $650 I've ever spent to be honest. Never seen a chip ever since
