Default Memory Seats not working. Can I DIY troubleshoot?

My memory seats function is cranky. The steering moves but the seat itself is not moving.
Anyone knows how I can DIY troubleshoot this or I have to lug the car down to the dealer?

a little more description would help. you mean when you press the memory button it does not work or even just moving the seat in general not working?

i could be wrong but i believe the car needs to be in P for the switch to work or at least i know it does for when you program it.

When I press eg. 1 for memory seat, the side mirrors move, the steering column moves but the seat does not move.

The electronic seats move in all directions using the controls at the side but not via the memory function.

yeah, what IX said.
It has happened to me a few times. I think it was the first sign that my battery was faulty.
Just reposition the seat and reprogram. Move the seat way out of positions and then try the buttons again.
See if the seat moves back to your programmed position.
