Has anyone removed the driver's side rear axle? My inner boot is torn and I'm thinking the only way to fix it is a new/used axle. I'm concerned mainly with the differential side. I can figure out the wheel side. Does it just pop out like a typical shaft on a FWD car or is there another way? Also, anyone have a source for axles besides Rock Auto?

inside diff side is easy! should be 6 12mm allen bolts you gonna need a big breaker bar.

 

Just did the job and apparently it's just a "pop out" axle. No bolts at all. Just like a FWD car. Job was fairly simple.
