Default Installed new battery, now passenger windows won't roll up

Hi All,

I installed a new battery on a 2006 GS300 and noticed that the windows (including the moonroof) won't roll back up. The front passenger will roll down from the front passenger side button, but won't go back up (and won't using the drivers side control either).

Rear passenger windows won't roll up or down at all. Moonroof appears to be nonfunctional as well. The only window that is still functioning is the drivers window.

I'm thinking it's a fuse issue and will be checking the fuses on Tuesday when I get back home.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

ps: I double checked the window lock button

pps: Sorry for the double post.

Look in your manual you have to restart them because it's a safety mode. You have to like do each window at a time.

with the switch at each individual window, power them half the way down and then all the way up again, hold the switch for one second. The all auto feature should be restored. (page 58 of the owners manual).

you will also have to normalize your moonroof as well after battery installation. (page 132).

You probably have to reset all the windows and also the moonroof. When I came back from Afghanistan my battery in my car was completely dead. Once I jumped it and let it charge up I had to reset all my windows and my moonroof as well. There is a thread on these forums that will tell you exactly how to do it... and I believe its also in your manual.

For the windows you have to actually push the button for each window until light stops blinking (Not from the drivers seat, but from each individual window). I believe you hold it down until the window goes all the way down and then roll it up and the blinking light will go away. I cant quite remember the reset for the moonroof.

actually, it's push down and immediate push up, holding up for 10 seconds.

as for hte moonroof i believe it's put it in close and let it open and fully close, then let go
