Default Got a new GS!!! and Girlfriend backs up into it.. FML

hey guys i just bought a 07 GS 350. had it for a day and a half. and my girlfriend backs up into it ruined the from passanger side of the bumper. and now my right side headlight and fog light wont turn on at all. on my dash it says AFS OFF, and it continues blinking. what could be the problem that is causing my headlight not to turn on and not function at all? could the impact knocked something loose or could it cause something to burn out? the whole headlight assembly is not cheap. over $900 for one side. it just pisses me off that i dont even have insurance on the car yet. FML

Damn that sucks, was the headlight damaged, if not its probably aq wire that came loose with the hit. The price of the headlight is not cheap its actually $1,300 unless you guys get it cheaper where your located.

Would your girlfriend's liability insurance cover repairs?

That sucks man, I would look into using your girlfriends insurance to fix it.

ya, use your GF insurance to fix it. It hit hard enough to cause all that "problems" on your car.

Next is go get your GF some driving lesson. She need to drive better. Or go to a clear park and let her drive and 'park'.

she has no insurance. and it wasnt her car that backed up into my car..and that car has no insurance...it was my fault by asking her to move it for me..i was standing there and saw the whole thing. FML i seriously hope its just a wire that got knocked loose. the headlight doesn't even have a scratch on it. low beam/high beam, drl not working and fogs.

Are you legally allowed driving in Arkansas (or anywhere in the US) with no insurance?

In that case bite the bullet and claim it through your insurance. Unless it's not a full coverage.

Technically you can do whatever you want with or without insurance in none public area. The insurance cover the car.
