no one has it because no one is stupid enough to pay close to 20k for that kit.

if your serious about buying a SC kit for your car, look in the 3GS classified forums. Mike is selling a setup for a great price (much cheaper than the kit above) Thread

id go to a tuning shop not L-Tuned. A tuning shop will know much more information because thats what they do on a day to day basis.

l-tuned is just a dealership parts department selling stuff, they know nothing about tuning.

this thing is nothing new. sc430 and ls430 had toms supercharger since long ago. gs430 shares the same drivetrain, so it's pretty much the same thing maybe with slight changes.

there is no shops / individuals cracking / flashing / changing toyota/lexus ecu yet, i haven't even seen anyone getting close. i am sure if you go piggyback or total standalone you might be able to go somewhere, but that's something else

so hp gains boil down to how much fuel the stock PCM will compensate for the extra air... right? sounds like you have to live with the engine light on..

this all depends on how much boost you run You can run this kit with NO piggyback/tune or you can get crazy on what you want to push. I would suggest a shop that knows Toyota & Lexus engines. I was going to have Sound Performance work on my car since they are widely known for their Supra builds & dyno tunes. I was going to start off with no tune and see how the car responded before pushing the envelope.

is your kit the same one as this Tom's? I'm sure it will run withought tuning but will it set engine codes or what not?

its similar...mine is mfg by Greddy so its Tom's competition. A few minor differences from what I can recall but the same end results. The same exact kit was on Greddy;s car in CA for a few years if I am correct. As for any codes or CEL that is all in the hands of the installer or tuning the car correctly if required.

I played around with my GS trying many things out if you read up. If it wasnt for the 3gen not having the power steering pulley I would have installed a 2gen SRT full kit and had the car tuned and running prior to selling it. Another member has this kit. I sold it to purchase the Greddy kit since it was designed specifically for our car. Slight changes in my family I sold the car and most of the parts that I had left...Im in the process of trading out of the SUV that I got for the wife to take the leap to a mini-van.
