They take a grinder to your fenders liners and sparks start flying! Shaving is the 1st step if you don't plan on going that extra mile later!

In my case, they rolled big time, fenders had to be repainted!

I would shave since the edge is doubled walled and no matter how much you try and not dimple your quarter panels it take that one little miss up and then there is a cress line. I would say if you want to try go ahead , just tape off a strainght line so you have a guide line. Make sure to have some type of paint or primer also so you can coat the bare metal so it does not rust.

on the gs i ONLY recommend shaving. with the fender design on the gs, rolling will VERY EASILY create dimples and it will look ugly. and there is no way to fix that when it happens unless it goes into the body shop and repaint. shaving achieves the same goal with much better results.
