It's standard Lexus procedure to provide a fill up and wash with any recall work. Your mistake was having the recalls all done at once. Even my adviser at the time told me to spread the recalls out between empty tanks of gas. :P

not all recalls come with a free fill up. there are 2 recalls out now i believe for the fuel line and something else fuel related that in the recall state that lexus must supply a full tank of gas
also recalls no matter if your under warranty are not, are free of charge.

I got a tank of gas for the fuel sensor but they didn't do anything but tighten it.
I got a tank of gas for the plastic pad under the carpet recall, that has nothing to do with gas.
etc...
Every recall got gas no matter what they were doing in my case.
I'm pretty sure you can get the recalls taken care of (no charge) even if your car is out of warranty. It's the TSB's that won't be covered.
Not entirely true. TSB's specify if they will be covered at no charge under the 4yr/48KMile bumper-to-bumper or 7yr/70KMile powertrain warranty's.
It depends on the issue. Generally speaking, an engine or tranny problem covered by a TSB would be covered until 7yr/70KMile. Whereas a gas cap (like the VSC warnings) or other body part would be covered uner their TSB until only 4yr/48KMile. The TSB indicates under which warranty it will be covered.
If you are outside of that age or mileage, then the best you can do is try to convince Lexus to still cover the TSB under customer goodwill. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
yeah they were pretty good, haven't been to the plano one so I can't compare, but they completed all the tasks requested and IIRC finished earlier than expected
to OP, do you recommend Grapevine Park Place? I'm closer to the Plano location, but will travel for more competent service.
I recommend Sewell Lexus of Dallas. I just got my car back from Park Place Grapevine, car was damaged and no one told me. The car had been side swiped on the driver rear quarter panel. Although they're fixing it no problem, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I live in Flower Mound, but I will be taking the drive to Dallas for future servicing.
