I had this problem and apparently is was due to my front registration plate. I had the european ones on, but had to change out the front one with the US size.
so i come back from new york after a week... then i get to my car at the airport.... i drive and my parking sensor is going off in the front like its detecting something with 1 red bar.. this even happens when im driving on the street with no one in front of me ...
it randomly goes off to the red bar here and there... does anyone know what the problem and fix is? note that i always drive with the parking sensors on.. is that what is messing it up ?
Have the same issue. After washing car when dry banging the front left center square one. It would then work. Now i replaced the sensor with a genuine Toyota part.
Sensor now doesn`t work at all . Red line and beeping. Now i have parking assist shut off. Any idea`s?
I had the issue with my passenger-side corner sensor. The sensor must have gotten hit by a rock or something because it had a little dent right in the middle. The "fix" was a small piece of clear packing tape to smooth over the surface. Hasn't had any problems since.

I had the same problem for a week or so, so I decided to visually check the sensors. Sure enough, had an insect that was splat, dead center on one of the sensors. Cleaned it off with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth, and I was good as new. Hope this helps.
