Default A/C Vent Parts

Let me start by saying Hello! This is my first post in here and I apologize but I havent created a sig yet; 2009 GS350 no mods.

Wiping the dash down yesterday, the driver side A/C Vent control **** (the one that moves the register to direct the airflow) fell off. Upon inspection, 3 of 4 tabs that hold it together snapped off. I cannot find this part anywhere online...any suggestions?

Well that would be the first obvious choice but they are 2 hours away! I was hoping someone knew of a good online source w/o stealership prices.

Telephone the dealer parts dept. It's a ****, either it's available for a few dollars or it's a whole new vent assembly. Either way, asking them will get you an answer faster than asking this forum, right?

See if this works.

Looks like you need part #19 from that diagram...in whatever color of interior you have.

thats a good start.. actually click the link below "instrument panel" and click "vent grille".. seems like u have to replace the whole unit, which will set u back more than 100 bucks.. unless u can find that small piece, search around if there are any better deals or used parts on ebay or something..

Thats the type of info I was looking for thanks! Yeah I could call the dealership, and yeah it might be faster, but the little websites like these can save you $$$$! Plus thats what these forums are for right, sharing info? I am a Diesel truck finatic, with all the money I spend on my truck, I found so many great websites where I can find OEM for MUCH cheaper.

Hi - I am having the same problem. Did you end up getting this fixed? Did you go through the warranty or DIY? Thanks

Apparently it is a common issue and I had it repaired under warranty last year. Now it needs to go into the body shop since some a$$ intentionally rammed me on the interstate in a bit of road rage while.we were traveling at 80 mph. Anyone know of a good body shop between cheyenne Wyoming and Denver Colorado?
