i'm not knocking on Tom but after getting my huper optiks i don't feel like the car is any cooler when i come back to it after work. anyone know if the tint can accidentally be applied backwards so it doesn't reflect heat? maybe it could also be that my car is a dark color but when i'm driving, i don't feel any warmth from the tinted windows so i guess it does work? i hold my hand up to the windshield which isn't tinted and can feel warmth there.

Could you pm me his shops address? I would really like to try this tint.

Thanks.

Even if my car came with free tint from the dealer, I think I would probably still pay to get that cheap stuff removed and install the huper optik. Did you even read the thread to see what we are talking about?

For the love of gas pedals and manual transmissions, WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT A REGULAR TINT Here!!!!!!!! Its huper optik, its like comparing toyota camry to a maybach or toyota corolla to a ls600hl. There is a big difference.

[QUOTE=rominl;6505618]you have no idea what huper optik is at all. any of the normal tint here you can get them for 100-150 day in day out. good quality ceramic tint like huper optik, that's another story

My bad, I didn't have no idea wat huper optik was... Just thought it was some regular ol' tint!! Guess you learn something everyday.. That's why I love my CL memebers!!!

Where did you get this done at in Houston? Did it include removing factory tint?

My car did not have any dealer installed tint. I don't think the factory actually installs tint, only the dealers. They did not remove anything from my car.

I got it done at Executive Tint (also called Executive Motoring on my receipt) at 2823 Hillcroft back in July of 2008. I did some bargaining to get my price. They were probably around 450-500 when I first asked for a quote. Prices may have gone up since 2008 too..

So I'm getting this done Friday. what's the thoughts on how dark to go? Legal limits for KY are 35% on the front windows and 18% on all back windows. Should I do 35% all around or 35 and 18?

Do the 35 and the 18.. Cuz the 18 in the back will make the front appear to be a lil darker then wat it really is

i'd say go with the 35%. since you have a dark interior, even the 35% is gonna look darker and draw attention from the authorities. i have 35% and the reflective nature of the tint makes it more difficult to see in than regular 35% tints.

35% all around is what I was thinking as well. good point on the dark interior making it seem darker.

thanks...I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have f1 pinnacle ceramic tint and couldn't be happier. My skin only gets hot when the sun shines through the windshield.

I'll check them out and I think they are actually pretty close to my area too.
Thanks.
