Default Purchasing a Used 2006?

I was thinking about purchasing a used 2006 GS 300 from a local dealership. I'm not quite sure if it's worth it or not.
It's $18,000, fully loaded with navigation and whatnot, but it has slightly over 101,000 miles. Is the mileage too high and might cause future problems, or is this a great deal?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn t say it's a great deal but a fair one, I know guys with close to 120k with no issues. The 300 has a reliable motor ask the dealer to let you take it home for the weekend and see how she acts.I have close to 60k on mine and have gas virtually no issues and none that Lexus hasn t corrected

Okay, thanks.
I thought it was a good deal because all the other ones, which have around 50,000 miles or so, are around $27,000. Some of them don't even have GPS or anything, so it's overpriced.
I'll see if the dealership will lend it to me. I doubt they will, but I'll ask.

I just got an '07 GS350,loaded to the max, in mint condition, with 86k on it for $20,000 so that doesn't sound like that good of a deal.

Wow. All the loaded '07s are in the $30,000+ range, which is too much for me. You made out pretty well, I'm jealous.

I did get lucky though. I work at a Nissan dealer and the guy traded it in and they gave him $19,500 for it. Since I work there, they gave it to me for $500 over.

Kind of. I have a business where I go around to dealerships and do spot paint repairs right out of my van. I basically have a mini body shop in my van and can mix any color paint using my laptop and a special program. I think they really like me there and consider me an employee because I have been doing work for them for years. Here is a pic of the car:

Well, it looks like it needs new wheels and I hate the paint job.

Didnt think the LS wheels could fit on a GS, Those I think are the only thing killing that GS, the White GS looks good congrats!

Huh.... I never noticed that those were LS wheel. Ugly as hell. I think I'll see if they'll let me take it home for a night or two. If I get it, it'll only be about $2,000 after I trade in my other car. Plus new wheels and painting.

By the way, bigblack, completely jealous of your 450h.

Thanks bigblack, I absolutely love the car ! This is my first Lexus and I couldn't be happier. I have gotten tons of compliments from strangers about how nice the car is.

The 101k miles might scare me if I did not put on most of those miles. You could need an expensive servicing with timing belt and water pump.

Also I bought a used GS300 from NYC and it had a lot of salt rust on the bottom and with the rear brakes.
