Batman, I can't stress how much improvement to handling your 460 will have after a coil over install! I just got my car back yesterday after the BC Racing coil over install, and can't stop driving this thing!
I just love how it handles and responds now!
Interesting. I'm holding off on upgrades. New car arriving in the Fall to replace this one.
Dead on! A definite difference but not a radical, out-of-body experience. I still own both cars (GS350 and E60) and drive them regularly. Like wearing two different pairs of shoes. I can feel the difference in my shoes but I'm not going to leap tall buildings in a single bound because one was marketed as the "ultimate" running shoe.
BMW marketing takes TOO MUCH LIBERTY in calling their ALL their vehicles the ultimate driving machine and most people think they'll get that experience from driving just any BMW. Not true, at least for me.
Except for the "M" equipped BMW (which is less than a few percent of their worldwide sales number) and even then you have to drive them hard under track conditions to feel it all. To say that BMW "ultimate" claim for their brand is a bit too optimistic. To be fair, many lower cost sedans (Mitsubishi EVO, Suburu STR, etc) could make the same claim without even blushing.
Still, both cars are nice in their own way...Just like my $300 running shoes and my off the sales rack no name joggers for $39.

My GS460 with Active Suspension, Michelin Pilot Super Sports and dead-on alignment from a racing specialist, drives in a manner which is very BMW like.
I'd like to know where u get the alignment jon done
Just drove my sister's 2011 740i LI. Granted it's a bigger car than the GS, but once again handling and steering feel were not any better if at all than my GS. The one thing I will say is that BMW has far superior steering wheel options. The steering wheel is thick, meaty, and leather wrapped in her 740. If someone is not paying attention to detail, I could easily see a noob determining the steering feel is better b/c the actual steering wheel feels sportier.

Yeah - BMW has the thickest steering wheels. The M-Sport steering wheel is fantastic.
But I wish BMW could find a way to tastefully incorporate wood into the steering wheel like Mercedes and Porsche do.
