window tint - rear defroster question
so i got my windows tinted, the guy messed up on the back glass (there were a few bubbles with some dirt inside the bubbles)....
i dropped it back off to get it redone, and its been 4 days and i hit my defroster button and it didnt work!!!
my question was... is the defroster not working because the film is still drying??? anyone else have this issue?

Didn't work how?
Tint should have nothing to do with the defroster... unless the tinter used some metal scraper to apply it and severed the defroster line in which case the circuit will no longer be completed.
If you can have a shop diagnose that in writing you should be able to go back to the tint shop and get them to pay to have it repaired.

well right now when im looking at it from the outside... parts of the defroster line are bright orange and some parts are really dark as if the tint is still "wet"... i was thinking of maybe waiting for it to fully dry and then try it out again
is there a plug or harness somewhere back there that may have been disconnected?

Yeah I agree with^, sounds more like the tinter scraped part of the defroster and so the circuit is broken. Get Lexus to check and see what the problem is and then get the Tinter to pay for it as BinaryJay said.
Another possibility if it's completely undamaged, though I've never heard of this happening after a tint would be that so much water was under there because they did it really badly that when the defroster was started it shorted it out in which case you would do well to check whatever fuse is in charge of the rear defroster.

if done right, defroster will still work no problem... did he replace the film or what? i am afraid if he scraped or damaged any of the defroster lines...
happened to my friend before

well what happened was i first got it tinted, there were a few bubbles with dirt in them... so he wanted to redo it, he said he wouldnt scrape with his stainless blade because it can scratch the defrost lines, he said he was going to use a scrub pad and do it properly
so he re/re tint, and now parts of the lines are orange and some parts are really dark
maybe i should take a picture of it and show you guys what it looks like...

do you see how it appears to be still drying.. maybe because the line's not completely dry is why im having a problem?

I doubt it. A little wetness wouldn't cause it to not work. Either one is scratched clean through and likely back glass needs to get replaced (I'm not sure how one would repair that... perhaps there is a conductive paint that can be used for this) or it got shorted out and a fuse replacement will fix it.
