Default How much you paid for tint.

Hi guys,

Just wondering how much you all paid for tint and what type of tint you got? It seems high that I got quoted $400 for ceramic tint including legal windshield tint.

Thanks

We have a local guy that is amazing. And cheap for people of CL. Unfortunately he's not a vendor, or in HI.

My SC300 was $100 for 20% all around
My GS300 was $110 for 35% all around.
My GS450 is going to be under $300 for the clear bra i'm getting put on.

I paid $250 for 3M tint all around except front windshield. That price sounds to steep, I think you got ripped off.

i paid $450 for 35% huper optik ceramic from my guy. ceramic tints are definitely going to be much more expensive than regular tints though so i don't think $400 is unreasonable. FYI though, my car still gets warms inside even with the tints. i think it's due to the color of my car.

Is it worth paying big money for these tints? I hear it blocks heat and some positive stuff but I live in the great north and not much complaining about the heat up here. So should I just stick with normal tints or does brand and/or ceramic make that much of a difference?

I don't care about heat or anything like that. I tinted the last cars for the look of it.

Damn that's cheap. I wish I was around to jump on that deal. I guess I have to shop around first. Sadly everything here cost more. Also many places here are cheap because their quality sucks.

$180 all around including door panel removal so the tint goes all the way down into the door with no seams and proper one piece rear window and the usual lifetime warranty. No issues after a couple of years. It's not fancy tint but it looks and works just fine.

$400 is reasonable for ceramic tint.

just make sure it's really ceramic, and you get the serial # on your warranty papers.

Also, something to watch out for- Ceramic tint is generally harder to work with, so inexperienced tinters will leave flame marks, or "ghosting", under direct sunlight..... especially on the curved glass of the GS. it looks like ***.
The proper way is to use low heat, and shrinking larger areas on the film.

I paid $125 to have 7 panels done with lifetime warranty and only $40 to take off and put it back on if a cop issues a fix-it ticket!

Where is your guy located? I'm in SW suburbs. Thinking of 35% (legal) all around. Thanks.
