Polarized sunglasses
|
Polarize sunglasses help but only a little. Reducing the problem but not completely. It's annoying when driving a patches of trees, the sun go in and out creating a flickering and the reflection enhance it right onto the windshield. I agree this mat doesn't look good. I guess the best is to remove the dash and paint it mat black.

Buy some polarized sunglasses dude and maybe a lite tint on the windshield would be a better idea. 3M makes car tints for the windshield at 80% or so, reduce glare and uv rays and heat all in I swift move.

What brand was that? do you still have it?, my mom wants one lol
|
I wouldn't tint the windshield, as it's illegal. Plus you'll get it all scraped up in Texas when you replace the inspection or registration stickers.

I tint all my windshields, and I'm in CA. The stuff I use is visually transparent, but blocks a large percentage of UV. The difference in the dash temp with and without this stuff is significant. I'm not exactly sure what it's called.

I am one who LOVES a shiny dash and entire interior so I look for those cleaners and fluids that leave it looking wet and deep! However, I think your dash mat looks pretty good and if it accomplishes getting rid of the GLARE (not glair) then go with it and don't care what anyone else says about it man! Been looking at those for my truck as a matter of fact too!

just pull the dash out wrap and put back in
