Program Smart Key

Finally joined CL after getting my 3GS a couple of weeks ago. The dealership only gave me 1 key and said they would give me an extra keyfob. Are the dealerships the only places that can program the key for me? I heard it's pretty expensive?

You are entitled to two, so therefore they should provide the key to you free of charge and it should be functioning.

if they are giving you extra key fob, i'm sure they will program it as well. only takes 3 minutes to do.

I think it's gonna depend on what kind of dealership it is. If it's a Lexus dealership then I would probably expect 2 but at a random dealership, I doubt they are going to go that extra step and come outta pocket on their end.
