Default 20inch rims /turning issues??

Im looking at getting a set a 20x8.5 /20x10 for my 2006 3GS. my question is this.... Has anyone had any issues with tight/quick turns??? I mean does the large front wheel rub on the inner fender or bottom out??

my car is lowered a good bit and i dont rub on turns. you need to get the proper size tires. you need 245/30/20 in the front. most people for some reason do 245/35/20 in the front and they have problems with rubbing on sharp turns.

just keep in mind that a 245/30/20 is not the same overall diameter as a 275/30/20

if your doing a 245/30/20 up front, then you need a 295/25/20

a 295 may not fit but the next closest is a 285/25/30

soo with that does the rear rim have to be like a 20x10.5 , or the 285/25/20 will fit a 20x10 , because i live in chicago and we have a nice couple of potholes

285/25 will fit on a 10" wide wheel

if you have overspec tires up front (245/35/20), then when you do hard lock turns, you might have running on front / rear of the front wheel wells. but it's no biggie, you are going slow anyway

I have 245/35/20 tires on my GS and the only time it rubs is when I'm pulling out of a parking spot. Like rominl said, you're going slow anyway.

Do not do 245/35/20. It looks way to chunky and will rub. Dont be afraid of 30 profile tires. They hold up fine. I have a 295/25 on the rear of my LS and have had no issues

yes, for some reason why you back up the car, it tends to rub more easily

I agree on this. I'm looking at 30s when i get new tires and lowering the car. The 30s look WAY better.

If you go with 19s you can use a 245/35-19 and a 285/30-19
