does anyone know how this happened?
i just picked up my car after the recall done, but i realized these indentation or bumps, bubbles on my passenger side rear quarter panel. i just washed this car not too long ago and the surface was as smooth as butter. the manager was kind enough to have this worked on in the future, but how did this happen? there are no indication of any impact from outside.. and no, i'm not the type of person who try to blame everything on the dealership.. since i managed to avoid a single scratch or ding or dent past 3 years by always parking where no cars next to me, this doesn't make me happy.. any ideas? paint defect?
Almost looks like a dent that someone push back out and it still has a wrinkle to it. I would demand they fix it or take them to small claims court. In Md it cost $30 and it will be cheaper for them to settle out of court than to pay an attorney to go to court so its a win win for you aside from the fact that you have to go through the inconvenience of dealing with the BS. Anyway good luck!
I agree, it looks like somebody dented it and went oh crap... reached in behind there and pushed it out and hoped for the best.
May not have been officially sanctioned by the dealership, could have been a mistake by anybody in the shop that was just trying to CTA.

I have a very similar dent like that but on the other side of the car,and didnt notice until a day after I took it out of the dealer and saw it at an angle, nothing to die over for me but will double check next time before driving out of the dealer.
It really scares me to think that dealer did other work on my car including valve springs. If they can't remember to replace an engine cover, what else did they forget to put back that I can't see right? It's been quite a while since that was done, though, and everything is fine, so I assume I'm in the clear. :P
