I'd choose the 2008. Better color and options.

Yeah sounds better with the 2008 with the options. What did you have your mind set on if you had any choice for which one you really wanted.

it's just not the same when your engine is torn apart, even if it feels the same after the fix.

I personally like my engine untouched from the factory.
But so far, I've done one engine recall, and I'm going to need to get another.

One guy here had a really bad experience after the last recall. and a few others have had questionable results.

no recall = you lucked out.

well i initially saw the 07 first then saw the 08 about a week later...thats where im stuck not sure if its worth it to pay ~$2k more for the 08 w/ more mileage (although its only 10k miles)

Im leaning toward the 08 though now.

I vote for 08 as well and see if you can still get extended warranty.

what's so funny?

yes, we understand it's $2000 more, and has higher miles.

but the tangible and intangible benefits outweigh the slight extra cost.

it's a newer car (which justifies the $2000 difference) , and mileage doesn't mean shat in a lexus engine.

you also realize the kbb value on the 08 would be a little higher?

if he's going to keep the car for a while, 2k is nothing for the extra features. and 10k difference in miles? big deal with lexus

08 hands down. I purchased mine with a few months of bumper to bumper warranty remaining on it and bought a 7yr/75k Lexus Platinum zero deductible warranty (I only had 27000 miles on the GS) from Jerry (look it up) for like $1,200 right before the warranty ran out. As for the 08 GS, it is still eligible for a Lexus Platinum warranty so in the long run, you'd save money and it is much newer. As others mentioned, I really don't think 10k difference in miles is nothing on a Toyota/Lexus engine imo.
