Default New to club Lexus

Hey guys I need some help. I own a bmw 530i 04' and am looking for a gs430 06'. I've been researching the lexus a lot but want some input from owners. I'd like to know if theres anything to look out for with these cars, any common issues, although I don't think there is. Any help will be appreciated!

Most common issues are rattle and squeak.

Nothing in particular to watch out for. Same as with any other used car - make sure everything works, make sure it hasn't been in water or accidents, check wear of all wear and tear items, look up service history on lexus.com

have you considered the GS 350 has same power, well a little more than the GS 430 and will probably have the same mileage, and the rest I think batman75 pretty much covered everything.

Yes I would look at the 350 even though its a V-6. As fast, better MPG and a more update engine.

Welcome and please search around as there is plenty of discussion on what you are asking.

Why sell your BMW for another car that's only a couple years newer?

Well for starters thanks for your replies. I really haven't considered the 350, I pretty much have my heart set on the v8. My BMW is having too many issues to list, and I'll never buy another unless it is cpo with a factory warranty. I chose the gs for reliability, and I've always loved the car. Hopefully my luck will be better with this one than my BMW.

Yeah understood, I'm guessing you want power the specs between the cars are different in terms of HP but torque yes the V8 wins but you can get a more affordable GS 350, but if want that, thats your choice, if you like new technology there is the new navi in the 350.

What are the biggest issues you've had, out of morbid curiosity. I thought BMW was supposed to have gotten their act more together reliability wise in recent times. The stigma still stuck to me when I was shopping for my car and honestly it was enough to scare me away from even considering one as much as I like the idea of them.

I really haven't had any major issues, I've had the car for 2 years and only have had a hose and temprature switch leak. Indy charged me 170$ to repair. My problem is bad luck, the carfax was clean when I bought it but it turned out the car was hit in the back and front, and now the cheap job they did is starting to show, both bumpers and my hood need to be painted. It needs a rear wheel bearing replaced, a power window motor( going to be 2 soon). It needs money to get right, but other than that I love it. I wanted to keep it for a while but I figured I would just get a whole new car, especially one known for reliability. Mannnn I can't wait to get a gs430!
