I have always beleived in your take on these issues! You are absolutely right, in most cases problems ( vibrations, shaking, wobbling ) are due to torquing of wheels lugs!

Everytime I re-torque my wheels back on with spacers, the shaking either goes away or gets worse!

My 10mm spacers caused shaking at various speeds. Once the wheels were removed and re-bolted back on by hand in a star shaped manner, the shaking went away!

yup, especially with spacers it can get ever so sensitive. that's the case for my m3. i have spacers on the car, and every time it's back from dealership, it has vibrations. then i jack up the car and re-tq everything, everything goes away

it tells you something (sigh, dealerships...)

Unbalanced tires have nothing to do with the alignment.
Unbalanced tires will result in vibration, not pulling.

I just a had a set of 22's installed on my LS last week and ever since the car pulls to the right. I am going to have them do an alignment very soon. This pulling could be normal. Discount tire is great for price but the balancing sucks and they also broke a wheel lock on my G35. They tried to send me into the ghetto to have it fixed at their cost but I said hell no, this car is only serviced at a dealership where I can get a loaner. I do not sit in waiting areas for anything After my issues with discount tire I now take my car close to 50 miles away from my home to have my wheels and tires installed by wheel specialists. The service is great but for some reason I can never get a decent balance from any shop no matter what. I would say out of 20 sets of tires maybe one set will be balanced the right way and did not need a return visit

I know thats why I said if its vibrations I would blame that.

Edit:Yeah thats my fault though he spoke about vibrations thats the reason I spoke of the unbalanced tires.

Probably radial pull from a defective tire. It's happened to me once or twice when I bought new tires. As some suggest, try rotating the wheels and see if that helps. If not, you should have them replace the bad tire.

Its probrably the tire ruts in the pavement pulling the car, certain tires do this worse than others
