Hi guys in the process of buying a gs300 new shape 2006, doesnt have the ml audio system. im just wondering is it possible to integrate an ipod and external video input. or do they have built in dvd playback. any other info on to look for or what spec to buy would be very much appreciated

Yep there are iPod integration modules as well as audio video ones

 

yes Vaistech sells a ipod kit with video output. Since your car will not have ML it should work no problem with the 4th gen system.

I got my 2006 GS300 RWD back in June with 74k miles and I usually average around 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway. I use premium gas only since the car would hesitate if I try to use 89 octane. The GS is an excellent car for its price and I'm happy with it. The sound system is okay because it has Pioneer head unit and speakers and I use cassette adapter to connect to my MP3 player with no issue than install the Vaistech kit.
