Default Hack to use seat presets in motion?

I find it weird that Lexus put a safety feature on this. They might as well not let you adjust your seat whatsoever if this is a safety feature.

Anywho, is there a way to use these presets when the vehicle is in motion??

should be able to use the adjustment when the car is moving, but using the presets will have to be when car is stop and shifter in P i think.

well, on the newer lexus i think they "fixed" it, you don't have to be in P but as long as car is stopped (at least on my loaner)

I think it's a safety feature that they disable it. The present can go very far back. If someone don't know and press the present, they might not be able to reach the brake paddle.

U R allow to adjust it manually when U drive, cause than you can stop it instantly.

I doubt anyone has put the time into figuring it out if thats what your asking. is it possible? im sure it probably is but the time it takes may not be worth it imo.

The limitation makes sense to me. At my wife's preset, I literally get squashed. I wouldn't want that accidentally happening while driving. Similarly, I wouldn't want it to accidentally go to my preset when my wife is driving she probably wouldn't be able to reach the pedals or see out of the car properly.

To the OP basically its a such a smaller feature that no one ever bothered hacking it or playing with it. I would leave it alone for all the above statements made above by other members with the safety issue. Also if u f with it, it might go crazy while u are driving and move you're seat forward or back, so defiantly a no go IMO.

makes sense for the driver's side, but im mostly looking into a bypass for the passenger side. i could have someone in the seat on a roadtrip who gets tired, instead of adjusting the thing, they could hit a preset that would recline the seat back and then another preset to bring it back up. i also currently have seperate presets for my buddies/girls.

I guess you are by you're self on this one, take one for the team and post a DIY. Because I haven't seen one nor heard of one. But yes I can understand where you are coming from for the passengers, but if its consist of taking the dash apart just for that ill pass and most of us would on that.

I did wonder about that. It would be cool.

Another safety issue on that is someone in the back. If there is a "large" person in the back that need all the space, and the guy in front press the present. The seat could push back and crush that guy in the back. The seat can go very far back, I know cause my passenger present #3 is "sleep" position.

this can happen the sameway if the car is stopped or not. the only difference is the person can hop out of the car whereas if the car is in motino, they have to simply put their legs up. either way i think this "safety" issue is being blown up a little more than it should lol. i mean the seat adjusts at a pretty slow rate lol

^ have u ever stuff a bunch of your friends into your car for a night out or whatever? If the guy in front like to play with things, the guy in the back will get crush. If the car is at a stand still, the guy in the back can open the door and get out to escape your crushing preset.

I did wonder about this bypass but quickly give it up. Not worth the trouble.

Now a good hack to do is hook the "Key not detect" with the "lock". If not detect the key than lock the door.
