Do u have to have an alarm installed? It would suck to have to carry another fob. Plus, how would the engine start because typically, they toss a spare key under the dash.

the brand is called auto start. I just got on their site and I guess I can use my phone also. Never knew about this. I only have the remote start portion. Had no reason for the alarm portion. I can tell you it works with the push start and its been almost 2 years since I had it installed and it was well worth it.

it shows your iPhone as a smart phone to use.

not with what I have I get in the car and the fob links up. If I dont have the key fob when I touch the brake pedal the car dies. Most places install so once you open the door it shuts the car off and I didnt want that. Additional wear and tear that is not necessary.

Im pretty sure I posted all the parts they used if you search. All I know is it does work and I also posted it on you tube under my screen name here

I have a compu star remote starter/alarm system and plan on hooking it up to my Iphone using a Drone app however the Iphone module cost $350 installed. My alarm is a 2 way pager though that works from a ridiculous distance away I think like 5000 feet. A bypass is required for the brake pedal, and the push start. I works like this you remote start the car, you have to un-arm the alarm, you must get in and push the brake within 30 seconds. If the alarm is not armed and you use the starter you must arm and then disarm or else when you get in the car it will simply stall when you put it in gear. I ve had this for close to 2 years and have had no issues and its awfully nice to get into the car and have it cooled down in the summer and heated up in the winter.

^ I agree especially when its freezing cold out here is a video I posted a while back....Ill post back on what or how much they want to make my phone work. I also have a 2-way remote that has crazy long distance but having on the phone should allow the signal just as far if not more I would think.

^^^ yep I carry an extra fob no big deal they are on the same key ring. I could just use the alarm one but would have to use the remote start to start the car and the car would cry about not seeing the factory fob the whole time lol!!!
