Default Lexus OEM lip kit!

Local Lexus dealer has quoted my $2800 for the complete OEM Lexus kit which includes front lip, rear lip and side skirts. And that is parts only, I am yet to receive a quote on labor and painting.

Seems very excessive to me. What do you think?

I am desperate for a kit to compliment my wheels and exhaust. But nothing much for the '08+ 3GS models!

Gimme your thoughts!

PS: They also quoted $1000 just for the Auto Couture roof spoiler as well!

Yikes... thought the M5 was expensive!

Member Rider posted this a while back, the kit looks like this!

Lip kit is simple, yet classy. I like it, but would rather have the Carson Tuned lip kit or the Tom's kit.

That price is way to high ofr a lip kit I would buy a job design or a Prussian kit ofr that price and have some money left over this still look better than that kit.

Keep in mind he doesn't like in the states. From what it seems, where he is currently at, things are hard to get and not cheap.

2 REASONS to like. 1) Factory OEM paint work, it will match... takes the guesswork out of third party painters. 2)Factory fit. Other then that, that's a steep price.

while that may be true, don't forget about shipping from japan to middle east. and what about duties and taxes? so landed, a job design kit will be much, much more that USD $2,800!

don't forget about the shipping prices guys...it's probably more expensive to ship to the middle east than it is to north america. the price that designo is quoting includes the shipping cost and mark up from the dealer.

retail price that carson toyota is quoting for lexus japan oem kit is: $2,950 + shipping
http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2854

so the price that designo's dealer quoted doesn't seem so bad comparatively.

try to get a quote on the job design kit shipped to OP and you guys will probably be in shock.

granted, it's still not a cheap price, but i can't say for sure how things are priced in his area. oem kits are all painted already, so designo you only need to worry about installation, which seriously is very simple for a lip kit. you can probably just do it yourself in your garage and some elbow grease

Thanks guys, are you guys sure there are other brands that have kits for the 08+ 3GS? Remember guys, my front lip and rear bumper are different to the pre '08 models.

Thanks for the Carson site

you can always go with a prussian blue lip kit like me there are other kits available that would fit 08+ 3GS, but they are full bumper replacements. more expensive unfortunately.

edit: here's a small list of kits that fit 08+ 3GS (not necessarily lip kits):
1) absorber http://www.absorber.jp/005-aero-parts/
2) job design (hybrid neo) http://www.jobdesign.co.jp/photo/thu....php?album=167
3) lx-mode (just front lip only) http://www.lx-mode.jp/lineup/2010/09...50-08model.php
4) prussian blue http://www.prussianblue.jp/jp/lexus_gsMctype.html
5) branew (web page shows both before and after minor change) http://www.branew.us/lexus/gs.html
6) skipper http://www.skipper.co.jp/products/aeroparts/gs002.php
