The TSIB is L-SB-0038-08 B-Pillar Lower Garnish Damaged. You can find the pdf in https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...s-for-3gs.html. According to lexuspartsnow.com, each piece is $110.41. I am planning to take my car in for the TSIB.

I bit the bullet and ordered the updated parts from Sewell. It's a lot of money for a couple of interior garnish pieces - especially since I know the previous owner could have easily got them put in for free if they had known better - but I'll sleep better at night knowing that part of my interior won't look like a baby had been trying to eat it for the last few years.

Also, something seems broken on the passenger side piece that makes it clip into the top on the front side, it keeps popping out of a little hole in the plastic piece attached to the body (it's like a little plastic stick protrusion on the trim that should have a hook at the end so it clips in but the hook is gone) and causing a rattle and I can't get it to stay clipped in for the life of me so that helped steel my resolve to just spend the money.

Hopefully I don't have to wrestle with the clips too much to get the old pieces out and new pieces in without breaking anything. Sewells CL pricing for the pieces is $102.21 each.

My passenger side has some minor scratch marks but the driver side has no marks... not sure how some of you guys scratched the driver side unless you don't fasten your seat belt.

"Sewells CL pricing for the pieces is $102.21 each."

Each. Not sure where the confusion could arise in that sentence.

I received the new b-pillar trims today. Unfortunately, although I picked the expensive supposedly brokerage/duties/taxes included shipping option with Sewell it showed up with all of that owing on the package. So far, I haven't been able to get a response from Sewell about that... but hopefully they will fix it and refund that soon.

Got the new parts on, it wasn't very hard... just basically have to pull up a bit of each of the scuff plate trim pieces and pull the whole trim piece out. It's held by a bunch of clips. I removed all of the clips that didn't come out when I took the panel off because, surprisingly, the trim pieces came with all of the needed clips already on them. Then just tried to line up the clips (difficult to see and in cramped quarters) and push the new panel on.

Kind of suspicious is that there are 10 clips but somehow after all of this I find myself in possession of 12 clips that I took off the car and one is red where the rest of them were all white. Seems like for some reason at least one of these panels was removed before and there were probably loose clips in there probably causing one of the old rattles.

Also, there are two screws at the bottom of the b-pillar top trim piece. On one side, one screw was very loose and that panel wobbled a lot and was probably another source of rattles.

Hopefully this expense and exercise will prove to make the interior look better but also quieter. Hopefully I don't have much trouble with Sewell, either. I'm surprised I haven't heard from them after leaving them both emails and voicemail around 9 this morning and it's nearly 2 PM now.

EDIT: Oops. I forgot it's thanksgiving for those folks and most of you guys. I guess I'll hear from them on Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I just wanted to update the thread to say that Sewell took care of the shipping mistake and refunded the extra fees that arrived with the package that shouldn't have. They continue to be an excellent CL vendor.

Does it cover the '07 GS350? I discovered my driver side B-pillar gouged about a month after I picked up the car, but was told I'd have to pay for the part. I haven't.
Thanks.
