Default Ready to order some wheels - just need some confirmation here!

Ok fellas, I need you guys to give me some piece of mind with all the research I've done.

Here's what I'm looking at.

2008 Lexus GS350
MRR HR2 Machine Finish Staggered 8.5 F and 20 9.5 R
front offset is +35
rear offset is +40.
Tire wise, planning on running 245/35-20 front, 275/30-20 rear.

I'm going for a flush look with the offsets above. With the tires, I'm hoping to avoid any fender shaving or rubbing. I'm currently dropped with the F sport springs installed.

1.) Any concerns?
2.) Offsets look okay? Any reason to be concerned about the +40 in the rear?
3.) Any reason to run a 245/30/20 in the front instead of 245/35/20?
4.) With the F-sport springs and this configuration, will I be low enough?
5.) My GS350 is Mercury Metallic (silver) - do you guys think chrome would look better than the machine silver?

Thanks for the help!

Id say the offsets are rather conservative, many folks on here run those types of offsets on 9.5"F /10.5"R wide wheels.

So what do you mean by conservative? Will I not rub?

More aggressive fitment means cutting fenders....someyhing I am not willing to do on a car like this. The offsets you chose are similar to mine. View my gallery link, it's flush enough with no problems.

if your going for a flush look, those offsets will not get you flush, you'll need spacers

offsets are fine

you'll probably get rubbing in the front on full turns. 245/30 is closer to stock specs

whats your definition of low enough? it will close the wheel gap and give it a good stance but there will still be a little wheel gap

chrome is ok but not my personal choice. i think silver would be better but then again its your car and you have to do what makes you happy. mod for yourself, not for what others think.

Yeah, I would like to be close to flush, but do not want to cut the fenders. You're car looks good.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to deal with a little wheel gap. I just don't want it to look like a 4x4. In doing the calculations, the 245/35 looked closer to stock specs than the 245/30. What am I missing here? I definitely don't want to rub.

Unfortunately, I don't think these wheels are available in 9 and 10.5.

The offset are what we all run normally unless we are trying for more lip in the front and back.

The 245/30/20 is thin but if you want more of a factory ride the 245/35/20 and will put you back to factory height of tire tallness. I have the 35 series right now it my car is lowered and it does not rub, plus it is dropped about 1.3-1.5 in the front.

The F-sport spring are not my choice since it only 1 inch drop. thier will be a gap about a finger and a half plus if you go with a smaller tire 245/30/20 the gap will be larger. Think aobut going coilovers or some other type. You might find some on here for sale at a good price.

Wheel finish is anyone type, and most people on here chosse the brushed finish over chrome. Vossen make so since wheels and a couple of other companies do also. Take a look at the threads on here and search the wheels on here to make you decision before you buy.

A 245/35-20 is 1 inch larger in overall diameter than factory, if you want the overall diameter to be the same as factory you will need a 245/30-20 and proper staggered size is 285/25-20. The middle # in a tire size is a% of the 1st # the sidewall of a 245/30 & 285/25 are almost the exact same size. Those wheel specs are very conservative if your going for a flush look, or remotely close to flush you will not be happy w/ those specs. Find a wheel company that makes those sizes, they are very common sizes you shouldn t have a problem

I've been doing a little more reading on here and I guess I wasn't correct in that I want it a flush look. I just want a nice stance.

It sounds like I'll achieve that with the specs in the original post.

I'm leaning to 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 back.
