Default Aiming Headlights - Adjust *****

Long story short, i changed out my HIDS last night because one of my 6Ks went out, now i have both hids aiming directly down, i see about 2 ft infront of me. I located the vertical *****, question is, which way do you turn the screwdriver, left or right? i was out there for at least 2 hours turning both ways and nothing happened, the bubble didn't move and the lights are still aiming down. I must have done 50 clicks in both directions. help

You 'unscrew' to raise. Do you have your new bulbs mislocated?

I don't think they are mislocated, they stood on the whole night last night, just aiming down. This morning, the left bulb went out, flickered and now won't come on at all. Maybe cheap bulbs, got them on ebay for 25 bucks for the pair.

sure hope you found the correct adjusting location as the manual's description plain sux and is nowhere near accurate.

See this thread and my posts 21, 28, and 30 with pictures of the correct location. Also, the car must be running (for the AFS and auto level to initialize) before adjusting.

One other thing to check would be the 'filament' location on the new bulbs vs the OEM. It should be identical otherwise you can adjust 'til the cows come home and it won't make a bit of difference...

Good luck

I finally took it to the dealer and they adjusted mine two weeks ago. Charged me $30 bucks I think??? maybe a little less. Worth my time and hassle. **** was too deep.
