I hear a lot about these issues. I'm a curious person by nature and wanted to put together information for conversation on the subject. Please reply with this info:

Year of car - 2007 and 2006
Nav - No, for neither car
Dash rattle - None
Other sounds - intermittent door squeak on both, intermittent seat squeak on both. The seat and door squeaks occur seldomly and do not bother me or my wife. Actually, the seat squeaks have disappeared.

 

Year of car - 2007
Nav - Yes
Dash rattle - Yes, constant on hot or cold days
Other sounds - Sunroof rattles and not too sure on the windshield, rear window, seats or doors. Its annoying but, i have the radio to drown the sound out.

 

year - 2008
nav - yes
dash rattle - yes, very bad, ended up windshield problem, replaced. guiding pins removed. dash clips insulated. rattling fixed
other noise - some noise coming from head unit, very rarely, but when it happens, slight press on the head unit and it goes away, for a long time until it appears again

 

Year - 2009
Nav - Yes
Dash rattle - Constant
Other noise- Seats squeaks when turning.

 

Year - 2006
Nav - Yes
Dash rattle - had prior, fixed in dec of 08. still rattle free
Other noise - just some few minor creeking noises but nothing big. no sunroof or door rattle.

 

Year - 2007
Nav - Yes
Dash Rattle - Only creaks when cold, not rattle
Other noise - Clicking/creaking from Driver's seat when accelerating or braking. Basically when there's a change in direction

 

Year of car - 2008
Nav - Yes/ML
Dash rattle - None
Other sounds - intermittent squeak from passenger side. have not yet determined what it is but it's so intermittent that i haven't really bothered to check.

Like the poster above, I believe quite a bit of the noise is coming from the windshield where it meets the dash. My wife was pressing up in that area while driving the other night and most of the noise went away. My seat doesn't extend over into the console when I drive, so that isn't it.

On a side note, does anyone have any "bubbles" along the very upper part of their windshield?

other sounds- At one point I thought I had the windshield clip problem but it went away on its own. I had a thunk in the back and i thought i had a loose hybrid component but it was just a maglight... The car has been pretty perfect!

Other sounds - The sound of quiet. Can barely even hear the engine in this thing, well almost can't hear it.

 

This particular noise is driving me nuts... have you addressed it with the dealer?? My dealers first attempt to fix it failed.. and was lazy to go back. Their better be a fix, or ima make them install new seats !!

 

so they checked and the seats are tightened down well?

 

Keep em coming. Before I made a spreadsheet I need enough replies for reliable conclusions.
