Thanks Mike. I like keeping my car fresh with little changes like these. I hope Darrell is giving you a cut on this stuff!
Can you post pics of the old lock ***** with your new ones?
I will dig for some pics. No deals. Im not sponsored but what Darrel does do is help me out with my crazy ideas haha...I send him a few emails when I get these crazy ideas to mod more stuff.
In return I like to send them as much of my business as possible. Prices are great but most important is the service that I get from Darrel. I sometimes find myself just getting stuff because of all his help
I guess we take the doors off to replace this lock? The all chrome piece would be replaced with a leather/chrome piece. Looks classy to me and the mod is pretty cheap.
I have these on my IS F and I really like them. The door panels are easy to get (on the IS F) off getting the old lock off is a bit of a PITA though. The new ones snap into place easily.
I also found out that the "wood" trim on the doors actually does come out. There is ~ 12 screws that hold it in place. It looks like it will be a PITA but good to know that its actually not glued to the door like I had read in another thread.
I also eliminated my passenger door rattle...I did nothing more then take off the panel and place it back on Hope it lasts
Call me stupid, but can't find a DIY for the removal of the doorpanel...
I want to change the "wood trim", so want to find out whether its glued or screwed.... Can somebody help ?
