I love the way the Tanabe Medallion exhaust looks on my GS. Shiny, yet short and subtle enough that it doesn't scream, "hey look at my tailpipes!" I haven't noticed any droning that I would consider annoying. It's pretty quiet to me, but nice and aggressive enough to hear around 2k-2.5k rpm level. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Add that to the fact I got the exhaust for only $200 from more-japan.com when they had a holiday clearance special a couple of years ago. SWEET!

I think the Tanabe has a deeper sound to it and not so "whiny" as the G35. Maybe a lil louder as well.
You got such a good deal. I have no complaints as well so far.
