Yokohama Advan 10b Replacement
After reading several previous threads on this tire issue, I have just a couple of questions. (Sorry to bring up a dated problem)
My tires did not start making that awful howling noise until about a month ago. I stopped by the dealer yesterday and registered my first complaint. The Service Manager advised he was not aware of a noise problem with these tires! They put the car on the rack and inspected the tires. They noted that the tires were "choppy". I had not heard of that term before. The Service manager suggested that I call Lexus Customer Care. Before I do that, I would like to get some feedback from the folks here on this forum.
I have a GS350, 18 inch tires, with 22,000 miles. Surprisingly, I have 7/32 tread remaining. The noise has reached a point where I am ashamed and embarrassed to have someone ride in the car with me.
1. How should I proceed at this point with Lexus?
2. Are the Michelin Primacy HP and I believe the Michelin A/S still the choice replacement?

I know the feeling of tire noise ver well as I just replaced my OEM Nitto's on my GS430. Purchased the Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus 245 x 45 x 18. Awesome tire and extremely quiet. Believe me, if you give these a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised how quiet and soft the ride will be. Expensive though at $250/tire. Good luck!
